PATISSERIE IN THE PARK - 24th July, 2012

Sometimes in life bad things happen and then something stupendously lovely takes place to balance things out! Angela Adoree, founder of bespoke tea party company, The Vintage Patisserie coming into our lives is definitely the latter! Were good friends with Angela and were there when her Dragons Den episode aired, at her book launch and now to the amazing opening of her new premises. The Vintage Patisserie has a new home and its all hers! Those of you who have been following Angelas career (and we know she has lots of fans) have been waiting expectantly to hear about her next moves. We can exclusively reveal she has taken over a gloriously Victorian building, reached by a pebbled pathway, overlooking the luscious greenery of St John at Hackney fields and its 14th century church

As we stood outside looking up at the bright red door gloriously flanked with aged bunting we knew that this had the exact balance of period charm and beauty to be a fitting home to her expanding empire. As Angela showed us around we had to calm ourselves to take it all in, stacks of beautifully collected vintage crockery was stacked neatly in her office space adjacent to her professional kitchen complete with checkerboard floor. It was then up the winding wooden staircase to the main event, the space! We felt like Alice in Wonderland (the Tim Burton version) as we opened the door and our eyes were immediately drawn to the full sash windows adorning the entirety of one wall painted in a gothic navy blue. The original wood floors had been completely restored and the exposed bricks top whole thing of perfectly making you feel like you’ve just interrupted an decadent party from a bygone era. This is all brought together in perfect symphony by exposed wooden beam ceiling and views out to the fields below.

Angela’s honed interior and set design skills, exacting standards and attention to detail has been surpassed.Anyone who has read her book (insert title) know that it’s not only a cacophony of delicious and inventive recipes but also a unique feast for the eye which pages of beautiful photography and party ideas.Stepping into her new space is like walking into the books pages; vintage chandeliers, bespoke glass topped tables with expertly curated displays of butterfly’s, antique playing cards and …(something else). These tables are arranged together to make one long last supper table, further styled for your occasion of choice, the addition of Angels’ table displays and food would literally be to magical for words. Let us not forget the mannequins topped off with vintage saucers bathed in feather bowers, dressing up box of, top hats, pearls, gloves and the windows flanked by antique Union Jacks. We have found where we want to have our summer parties, weddings, birthdays and hell we will make an occasion up just to be in this enchanted space!

HQ HAPPINESS - 11th July, 2012

As you know we are always roaming around the country and last month was a bumper edition. We were requested by Fremantle Media (the production company responsible for shows like the X Factor & Britain's Got Talent) to bring the vintage element to their world environment day. Their offices in central London are super swish with an interior atrium where the event was hosted. We met loads of amazing staffers, some of which knew us from our TV days. We loved this customer’s self-styled 1940s pin curl hairdo, very accomplished!

We were off again later in the week to transform a major fashion brands London HQ into a vintage heaven. Check out our favourite style pictures from the day. We loved staffer Daisy in tie-dye heaven, Esther’s sold out Nike & Liberty Print, Dunk, Sky Hi trainers and this bohemian lover bought our 70s crochet cardigan, perfect match!
